Alexandra is a fifth year graduate student in the Clinical Child Psychology Program (CCPP) at KU. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami and joined the CCPP in the fall of 2016. Broadly, Alexandra’s research interests are to better understand the factors that influence disease management in children and adolescents with chronic health conditions. She is particularly interested in examining how health behaviors, specifically sleep, impact blood glucose and adherence to type 1 diabetes (T1D) disease management behaviors in youth with T1D and their families. Her goal is to utilize novel tools in health assessment to better understand these processes and to improve illness management.
